The NSWRL Western Sydney Academy recognises the outstanding work done by Junior League Clubs throughout Western Sydney to provide young players with an opportunity to play the game they love. The Academy also encourages all Clubs to continue to strive to improve their administration and contribution to the community.
 
In order to further encourage Clubs along these lines, the ‘Clubs On The Ball’ program aims to recognise the efforts of Junior Rugby League Clubs to improve the efficiency of their administration and to make a positive contribution to their wider community. The Clubs On The Ball program will encourage Clubs to reach set standards  in areas such as corporate governance and social responsibility.
 
 
Good Sports
 
An important area of Social Responsibility is management of alcohol-related issues. All Junior Clubs are encouraged to take responsibility for ensuring they establish policies and procedures to help prevent negative incidents surrounding alcohol.
 
Good Sports is a national initiative of the Australian Drug Foundation. The program works with community-based sports clubs to promote the responsible management of alcohol in order to:

• Reduce alcohol problems
• Increase the viability of sporting clubs
• Make clubs safer and healthier
 
Within Western Sydney, there are currently 32 Junior Rugby League Clubs participating in the Good Sports program. Of these, the following clubs have reached Level 1 accreditation:
