ARL DEVELOPMENT TEAM READY FOR THE SEASON
The ARL Development staff has started 2010 just as they finished 2009. From the first day back schools have been locking in programs and checking key calendar dates.
Members of the Sydney ARLD team (pictured) have already started Backyard League programs in schools proving that children are keen to play rugby league at all times of the year.
To coincide with the cultural celebrations leading up to the All Stars game, Development Officers are preparing for the Community Carnival when schools will meet NRL players and participate in more Backyard League games. Students will also hear the Eat Well, Play Well, Stay Well message from players.
Teachers Coaching Courses are also underway as are Active After-school Communities Programs and Premiers Sporting Challenge clinics.
2010 will be another action packed year for school rugby league development, but we wouldn’t have it any other way.
