Last year at the 2009 NSWRL Volunteer Awards, five hundred and sixty dollars was raised for the Cystic Fibrosis Clinic at the Childrens Hospital, Westmead.
Doug Keen from the NSWRL Referee's Development Unit was on hand recently to hand over a cheque to Dr Peter Cooper, head of the Cystic Fibrosis Unit and he was joined by Mary Corbett who heads up fundraising for the unit.
Dr Cooper indicated that the money would be used to help purchase a nebuliser which aides in the dispensation of medication to young Cystic Fibrosis patients.
