Wests Juniors District Junior Rugby League

The Western Suburbs District Junior Rugby League (Wests Juniors) has 15 clubs and boasts a playing base in excess of 4000 registered players and 600 volunteer officials across 238 teams.

As one of western Sydney’s three major junior leagues along with Penrith and Parramatta DJRLs, Wests Juniors encompasses the Liverpool, Campbelltown and Macarthur regions.

All 15 affiliated clubs are controlled by dedicated volunteers who ensure the youngsters and youth of all ages within the Campbelltown and Liverpool areas are able to participate in the game of Rugby League, from Under-6 level up to ‘A’ Grade.

Wests Juniors have development programmes in place to enhance players’ ability to progress through the pathway from junior Rugby League through to the Western Suburbs Magpies and then their ultimate opportunity to play for the Wests Tigers, which is the joint venture club in the National Rugby League.

The Saturday Competition is played every Saturday consisting of Under-6s through to Under-16s and is played at eight different venues throughout the Campbelltown and Liverpool area, commencing at 8am and the last game concluding at around 4pm.

The Sunday Competition consists of a combined competition with Country Rugby League’s Group 6 in the Under-18s A, B and C divisions and ‘A’ Grade 1st Grade, 2nd Grade and 3rd Grade. This competition is played throughout our district and that of CRL Group 6 on Fridays, Saturday evenings and Sundays.

The Under-6 and Under-7 is a non-competitive competition which sees a Gala Day held at the end of each season in a carnival atmosphere to reward all players for their participation.

The Western Suburbs District Junior Rugby League also hosts the Keith Holman Knockout annually which is an invitational Knockout for teams in the Under-8s age group throughout the Sydney metropolitan and surrounding Country areas.
